More Soca Now takes its inspiration directly from Caribbean roots particularly, Trinidad and Tobago and is designed to showcase the rich sounds of the Islands, with current and past Soca Anthems fused with a splash of Reggae music.

This concept, the brainchild of Hamilton’s DJ Verse One, started off in 2006 as an event held annually during Hamilton’s Mardi Gras celebrations, and was known as Toronto’s Carnival “After-Party” Cool-Down Soiree.
